September is just around the corner which means it's time to move your phi't! Move Your Phi't 5K 2008 is the RI Alumnae Chapter's 8th annual 5K to benefit the Alpha Phi Foundation. We've raised a tremendous amount of money over the past 8 years and we are asking for your support to make 2008 the best yet!
If you haven't connected with the Alpha Phi Foundation recently, you may not know all of the wonderful things it does both for Alpha Phis and women as a whole. In just the last two years, the Foundation awarded almost $1,100,000 (!!) in support of women's cardiac care programs, merit based scholarships for Alpha Phis, Forget-Me-Not grants to sisters in need, Alpha Phi leadership training, and local community contributions.
On September 13, the alumnae chapter will host Move Your Phi't 5K 2008 at Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick. This is a non-competitive walk/run and ANYONE is welcome to join in the fun. Bring your sweetie, the kids, your parents, friends, etc.!
Registration is $20 for all participants which will go directly to the Alpha Phi Foundation and is tax deductible. Click the "Donate" link on the right to make your donation through Paypal. There will be a free BBQ after the event for all participants. We hope you will come to support this extremely worthwhile cause. But if you cannot, please consider making a tax deductible donation instead.
Move Your Phi't 5K 2008 information was emailed to all alumnae for whom we have email earlier in August. If you did not receive the information for participating or donating, please simply email operations@rhodyphis.com and we will happily email or snail mail you everything you need.
TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF WOMEN EVERYWHERE.
100% of the money raised, whether through registrations or donations, will be given to the Alpha Phi Foundation. All registration and donation dollars are tax deductible.

The Rhody Phis Do It Again!
For the second time in its short seven year history, the RI Alumnae Chapter has been named Alpha Phi's Most Outstanding! The award was given at Alpha Phi Convention in Scottsdale, AZ in June. In spite of competition from 140 other alumnae chapters in the US and Canada, the Rhody Phis came out on top!
This award recognizes a chapter's excellence in programming, membership diversity and recruitment, philanthropy, makerting and collegiate support. Without the dedication of the entire executive board and our enthusiastic, FANTASTIC members this would not have been possible...so thank you all!
